Hey there busy mama!
Tired of scrolling through endless articles about the paleo, keto and the like?
You just want some simple, actionable advice for building a healthy life and conquering your bad habits before you pass them on to your kids, but it seems like everyone's trying to sell you on the latest trend.
Well, stop the merry-go-round! It's time to get off.
Just can't bring yourself to heat up another batch of chicken nuggets while those vegetables you picked up at the grocery store last week
rot in your crisper drawer?
Mama, I feel your pain.
Besides, chopping vegetables requires energy and let's be honest, you're on short supply.
Meanwhile, your friends are posting family pictures of their latest 5k run. I mean, how in the world did they get their kids to smile... or drink water?!? Why does it seem to come so naturally to them?
For your family, running a 5k feels completely unattainable. Forget about motivation, how could you even fit that in between gymnastics and basketball practices?
Besides, you're still out of breath from that walk down the organic aisle at the store this morning,
but then again, maybe that was from the panic you felt when you saw how much a box of organic mac & cheese costs.
You're starting to think you missed out on some essential life lesson that everyone else knows.
Maybe you were sick that day... how ironic.

Healthier In 30 Days is a fantastic resource for those of us who are trying to live a healthier life, but don't quite know where to start.
Heather has created an invaluable library of tips and resources that highlight simple ways to improve our health while keeping in mind that we all live a busy life, and we can't be perfect all the time.
As an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, I have ready many different "fad diet" theories that claim they are the ultimate weight loss solution, or the easiest way to a healthier you.
Heather takes a much different approach by listing simple tips that are easy to understand and providing numerous resources (which could be a book in themselves!).
She gives you the tools you need to achieve your goals and recognizes that while some advice will be great for one person, it may not be as important to another.
That's the absolute genius of this book: it takes you from where you are to where you want to be.
Whether you dedicate your time to achieving all 30 tips, or focus on the 3 or 5 or 10 that you think will most improve your life, Healthier In 30 Days will be an amazing tool in your journey to a healthier you!
If there’s one thing we can all agree on these days, it’s that we all lead busy lives.
As a writer, a wife, and the mother of two active boys, there never seems to be enough hours in the day to get everything done. Add trying to live a healthy lifestyle to the mix, and it’s no wonder we turn to cookies and take-out.
I knew my family needed to make better lifestyle choices, but I didn’t know where to start.
Heather Behrends’ book, Healthier in 30 Days was the answer.
This book has been a game-changer for my family! This helpful guide breaks down healthy living into manageable, doable pieces!
Each day, Heather introduces you to a new healthy choice. You’ll get insight into research and practical ways to incorporate healthy living into your daily life.
I love that the book includes space to take notes and offers links to get more information.
Healthy living isn’t a quick fix. But simple changes like the ones Heather presents in this ebook are just a few of the ways my family has now embraced a healthy lifestyle.
Simple changes. Big Results.
After thirty days, these changes have become second-nature!
We’re now cooking together in the kitchen. We’re eating healthy, home-cooked meals and saving money on groceries while gaining quality family time.
My boys now eat more veggies and we do different activities together that leave all of us feeling energized.
Better health. Happy family. A little extra in the pocketbook. That’s a win in my book.
Every busy family needs Healthier in 30 Days so that you, too, can put these practical tips work and begin your journey toward healthy living.
- Krista Sandor, author of the Langley Park series
My name is heather and I'm a blogger, a group exercise instructor, a wife, and a mother to 3 very busy boys. Just like so many others, my life is busy. I understand chaos!
I’m also concerned about my family’s health. The struggle to get dinner on the table and the family together is real!
But a few years ago, my family started struggling with things like diverticulosis, high blood pressure, rosacea, GERD, and weight gain.
Our doctors were only interested in treating the symptoms of our "illnesses."
I knew it was up to me to take a hard look at our life choices.
Up until then, I thought we were making healthy choices. We exercised…made sure to eat veggies most days…and made an effort to get an adequate amount of sleep each night.
However, we found that we needed to make bigger changes to our overall lifestyle.
I was researching, talking to doctors, asking questions, and implementing changes and I knew that we needed to make these changes slowly so that they would stick and become lifelong habits.
Too much change at once is just simply too overwhelming for me. And when I get overwhelmed, I retreat to what is comfortable and familiar.
We had to keep them simple.
I've heard from so many of my readers at Made in a Pinch that they wanted to figure out how to live healthier while saving time and money.
It seemed that I was not the only one facing the same struggle.
How do we take practical steps in the hustle and bustle of family life to attain a higher level of healthiness? How do we get the whole family on board with these changes?
In addition, time and time again, I have been asked how to set effective goals for making changes and staying accountable to achieving those goals.
As much as I wish I could personally and individually help every single person who asks me for help, it just isn't possible.
I wanted to create a way to help anyone who has a deep desire to live a healthier life but feels overwhelmed by the process.
I wanted to offer guidance, support, and encouragement for anyone who doesn’t know the next step to take. So I decided to put what I've learned and our experience into this book.
I want to show you exactly how to take control of your life and design a new and improved set of habits. Together.
