Your Search for the Best Organizer Caddy is Over!
Parenthood has its perks. But let's face it, parenting also has its difficulties. Staying organized is one of those challenges in our house.
My boys have always dumped out any toys in a container. When they were tiny, it was a comical sight – they would be dumping and I would be going behind them and picking up.
Now they do their own picking up, but I still have to oversee it to make sure it actually happens 😉 .
That's why I was super excited when Mollie Ollie asked me to try out and review their Mimmo Caddy Organizer!
The timing couldn't have been more perfect because I was beginning to brainstorm ways to update my minivan console dump area.
Picture this: a family minivan with the area between the two front seats absolutely covered in stuff.
It's really a disgusting sight: gum packets, pens/pencils, random pieces of paper, hats, tubes of toothpaste (what??? yep – don't ask), coins, sunscreen bottles, water bottles, facial tissue, and wipes.
How all that stuff can fit in that small space, I have no idea. And the truth is that it doesn't fit well.
So I enthusiastically said ‘yes' to trying what I thought at the time was only a diaper caddy in the hope that I could use it to organize my minivan.
I could tell as soon as my organizer arrived that the Mimmo Caddy Organizer was designed for moms. It also looked like it would be perfect for my van!
Here are some of my noteworthy initial impressions about the diaper caddy:
- Pockets and compartments everywhere (even a zippered one to hold things you don't want falling out if it gets tipped)
- It's made out of heavy duty 5mm felt
- Has a reinforced base
- Features enhanced stitching on the handles
- Sturdy construction – I love the sturdiness!
- Wipeable interior for those inevitable messes.
The Mimmo Diaper Caddy Organizer has pockets and compartments everywhere! I love that kind of thing and always have.
My mom likes to tell me how I have always liked to organize things – as a girl, I organized my room. Now I love organizing my home and car.
I just know that I have always loved organizers with compartments to separate and sort my stuff (and keep it neat).
Interestingly, this caddy comes with removable dividers for you to use it in so many different ways! It would be amazing in a baby's room or for baby supplies around the house.
But since I don't have babies (or diapers) anymore, I like that its design is general enough that it can be useful for many different needs!
Here are some ideas of useful ways to use this caddy:
- Road Trip Tote
- Car or Truck Organizer
- Laundry Storage Bin
- Toy Storage Organizer
- Arts and Crafts Organizer or Tote
- Essential Oils Tote
- Mail/Bills Organizer
- Cosmetics and Skincare Organizer
- Baby Diaper Caddy Organizer (especially for those nighttime diaper changes)
- Portable Nursing Station
- Needlework Supplies Basket
- Car Seat Organizer
- Cleaning tote (ex: cleaning off the toys, papers and book from the dining table before eating or cleaning out the car and easily bringing those items into the house)
The Bonus Zipper Compartment
The zipper compartment is a thoughtful feature for organizing small items that you don't want to rummage around to find.
This compartment is perfect for:
- nail scissors or infant grooming kit
- thermometer
- pacifier
- teething pain relief
- nasal aspirator
- essential oils
- makeup brushes
- crochet or other needlework needles
- craft supplies
My Personal Thoughts Regarding the Mimmo Caddy Organizer
I love this organizer! It's sturdy, flexible (because I need the ability to change things around), useful, practical, and affordable.
Remember that disaster that was the console area that I mentioned earlier? Well, the rest of the van was just about as bad. Sigh.
Before I put the Mimmo Caddy Organizer in my car to live there, I had my kids use it to clean out the van. They filled it up with all the stuff that was living in the back of the van.
You should have seen the number of toys and other items that caddy could hold (and I should have thought to take a picture of it so you could see for yourself)!
Once the boys finished, I put my caddy in my minivan to organize my disaster of a console area.
After using this caddy for the past month or so and loving the results, I now want another one to use for my crochet supplies. It would help keep my needles, yarn, and ongoing projects super organized and portable!
If you are in need of a little help getting organized, I really can't recommend this caddy enough. It's thoughtfully designed, well-constructed, and will help you have a place for everything and everything in its place.
Get one for yourself or give one as a gift to a new mom or anyone who needs a loving hand in the organization department!
