Ingredients

medium
tart cooking apples
peeled and thinly sliced; Granny Smith or Rome are my favs
3/4
cup
brown sugar
not packed; sub 1:1 with Lakanto Monk Fruit Sweetener for a sugar-free version
1/2
cup
flour
I have used a mixture of white and wheat (50/50 blend)
1/2
cup
quick cooking oats
you can use rolled oat if you prefer
1/3
cup
butter, softened and cut up

tsp
cinnamon
3/4
tsp
nutmeg
A little of this goes a long way
Instructions
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Use non-stick spray to spray down an 8x8x2 square baking dish.
Spread out thinly sliced apples throughout the bottom of your baking dish. Combine other ingredients and spread out over the top of the apples.
Bake approximately 30 minutes, or until topping is browned.
Remove from oven, let sit for 5-10 minutes. Serve warm with your favorite vanilla bean ice cream!
