Recipe Notes

Measure 1 1/4 cup milk and put in pot.
Bring liquid to a soft boil, reduce heat and add oats and salt.  Stir with spatula.
Cook on medium approximately 8-10 minutes, stirring constantly.  Oats should stay at an almost boil, make sure you monitor and stir.  When oats thicken, they’re done.
Remove from heat and stir, add refrigerated pureed fruit and 1/4 cup cold milk, stir.  (We use refrigerated 1/2 pouch per  batch for our toddlers.)  The cold pureed fruit and the cold milk helps cool down the oatmeal.  Add honey to top.  Serve!

For Baby oatmeal: Blend oats in blender to get them smaller.  Our blender was unable to blend so few oats, so we blended 1-2 cups at a time and stored the extra in the fridge.  (I used a wide-mouth mason jar with lid to store.)  Scale down the amount of oats to almost a 1:1 ratio and cook as instructed below.   Add desired amount of pureed fruit when oats are cooked.  You can store leftovers and reheat the next day for breakfast.  If too thick, add milk to cool and thin.
