Hand Soap is Crucial for Good Hygiene
Whenever my kids walk in the house, or into the kitchen I say ‘Wash your hands’! Then I send my kids into the bathroom to ‘dive’ into the sink with the hand soap.
You see, as a mom, I have learned that having good hygiene helps keep our family as healthy as possible. Keeping your body clean helps prevent illness and infection from viruses and bacteria.
Washing hands regularly keeps germs and bacteria from spreading, thus keeping our family healthier! That’s why I have my kids wash their hands anytime they come in from being outside or come into the kitchen. Handling food with dirty hands and then putting it in their mouths in a common way to get sick.
In addition to keeping our family healthy, we love doing what we can to save both money and the planet.
Make Your Own Foam Soap
When our we used up the foam soap in our original dispensers, we made our own foam soap to save money and resources.
The beauty of doing this is that we don’t continually spend money buying new foam soap bottles and hurt the environment by throwing those bottles away.
Choose your refill hand soap, add water and wash those hands! My kids like to choose which soap they want (foam or regular hand soap).
The foam soap generally wins, and I think it works better. Because it already has water in it, they get better soap coverage on their hands immediately.
Foam Soap Ratio:
Fill the empty foam soap dispenser 4/5 with water, and 1/5 with refill soap. Stir, or shake gently, and use!
Making your own foaming hand soap is a wonderful way to save money and recycle at the same time!
