MADE IN A PINCH

– cream cheese, room temperature – sugar – vanilla – crescent dough – cherry pie filling Glaze – powdered sugar – butter, soft – milk – vanilla

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a bowl mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until well combined, set aside.

3. Using 1 can of dough, separate each piece and lay them out with the wide piece of each facing left on the baking sheet, overlap them slightly.

4. Starting with the 6th piece, begin to curve slightly to form the hook of the candy cane.

5. Spoon cream cheese mixture onto the dough as shown, following the shape of the dough.

6. Spoon the cherry filling on top of the cream cheese mixture.

7.. To from the stripes of the candy cane fold each pointed piece of dough over as shown and tuck the tip under the cane.

8. Bake 15 - 20 minutes until golden brown.

9. In a small bowl, mix glaze ingredients together until smooth.

10. Brush glaze only on “stripe” sections of the candy cane.
