1. In a medium size mixing bowl, mix together peanut butter, butter, vanilla, brown sugar, and salt until fully combined.

2. Then slowly, a little bit at a time, mix in powdered sugar.

3.  Line an 8 x 8-inch dish with parchment paper and press the peanut butter mixture into the dish.  Smooth out the mixture with your hands or a spatula. The peanut butter layer should be around ½ inch thick.

4. Place dish into the freezer until firm enough for cutting.

5. Line a backing sheet with parchment paper, and using a Christmas tree cookie cutter, cut out trees and line them up on the tray.

6. Place into freezer for about an hour until completely firm.

7. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate, using a fork, dip each tree into the melted chocolate and cover completely. Gently tap the fork on the sides of the bowl to allow excess chocolate to drip off.
