Easy Dutch Apple Bars

This addictive Dutch Apple Bars recipe features tons of apples, a brown sugar shortbread crust, and a buttery brown sugar crumb topping! Top these apple pie bars with homemade whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for your go-to easy dessert that’s perfect all year long or for your holiday dessert table!

KEY INGREDIENT

Sliced Apples

1. Preheat your oven and line your 8x8 baking pan with parchment paper. (I like to use 2 layers of parchment paper for easy cleanup).

PREHEAT THE OVEN

2. In a large bowl, mix together butter and brown sugar until it looks light and fluffy. Add in your vanilla. Mix well. Then add in your flour. Mix until well combined.

COMBINE & MIX

3. Add your crust to the pan on the parchment paper. Using a spoon, or your finger, press the crust down trying to have it even across the bottom of the pan.
