– ground beef or turkey – onion – celery diced – green bell pepper – garlic cloves – tomato paste – pinto or kidney beans – black bean – great northern or cannellini beans – chili powder – parsley – sea salt – dried basil – dried oregano – ground black pepper – paprika I used smoked paprika – cumin – better than bouillon beef flavor – rice – water

1. Place the meat in a skillet over medium heat and begin browning; add onion, garlic, green pepper, and celery and sauté until soft.

COOK THE MEAT AND VEGETABLES

2. Spray the slow cooker. Place the meat and veggies in the slow cooker. Add all remaining ingredients except rice and additional water.

ADD TO THE SLOW COOKER

3. Cover and Cook on low 8 hours. Add rice and extra water with 1-2 hours cooking time left.
