Print and cut the template pieces – Download the free template and print it on regular printer paper. Cut each piece out carefully. If your child is old enough to use scissors safely, let them do this part.
Prep the paper plate face – Take your paper plate and paint the center peach and the outer portion orange. Set it aside to dry.
Trace and cut the hat from green paper – Place the leprechaun’s hat template on green construction paper and trace around it. Cut it out. Then trace the other pieces on the corresponding colors (use the pics below as a guide). Layer the black band and the yellow buckle to assemble the leprechaun hat.
Cut the leprechaun’s beard – Use the beard template on orange construction paper. Cut it out in one piece. If you want a fluffier look, cut small fringe lines along the bottom edge. This adds texture and makes the beard look more realistic without extra materials.
Assemble the face on the plate - Glue the hat to the top of the paper plate. Next, glue the eyes and cheek blushes into place. Use your markers to draw two eyes and a smile.
