I’m an ice cream kind of gal. I always have been. I get it honestly, as my parents would say, because my grandfather was an ice cream fiend.

He had a chest freezer completely dedicated to holding MANY different flavors of that cold creamy treat.

Chocolate is my personal favorite flavor of ice cream, but I also love a good vanilla bean or strawberry.

Nothing beats a traditional ice cream made with cream and sugar. But when I want a healthier alternative, making frozen banana ice cream is surprisingly satisfying!

1-ingredient banana ice cream took the world by storm a couple of years ago, and it’s terrific. Isn’t it genius that frozen bananas can turn into a creamy, dreamy, ice-cream-like sweet treat?

Especially when I want to save myself some calories, sugar, and fat.

But it doesn’t quite give me that chocolate fix. Until now! Today I have a banana ice cream that’s delicious, scrumptious, luscious, and any other word that ends in “-cious” you can think of!

Prepare to be amazed by Banana Ice Cream With Nutella And Biscoff Cookies! It has more ingredients than 1-ingredient Banana Ice Cream, but it’s only 2 more little ingredients!

Go ahead. Try it. I dare you!😁

How To Make Banana Ice Cream With Nutella

Making banana ice cream couldn’t be easier! Here’s how:

Step 1

Peel and slice the bananas into chunks. Lay flat on a baking sheet, and make sure the  bananas are not touching each other, as it is difficult to separate them once frozen. Freeze for approximately 2 hours.

Step 2

Place the frozen banana chunks in a food processor, and blend until smooth and creamy. This will take approximately 5 minutes, as you will need to keep removing the lid and scraping the sides, and then processing again.

NOTE: This recipe is tough on blenders (as in tough enough to burn out the motor). I highly suggest only using a food processor for making banana ice cream!

Step 3

Once smooth and creamy, spoon ⅓ of the mixture into a glass baking dish, and smooth with the back of a spoon.

Step 4

Next top the banana mixture with approximately ¼ c of Nutella Hazelnut Spread.

If you heat the Nutella for about 10 seconds in the microwave before spreading, it will spread much easier. I just drizzle a little on top and then lightly spread with a spoon.

Step 5

Place 6-8 Biscoff Cookies in a sandwich size bag, and crush lightly with a cooking mallet. Leave some of the cookies in larger crumbles, so the flavor profile for the cookies will be stronger in the ice cream.

Step 6

Repeat the layers of bananas, Nutella, Biscoff Cookies, and then top with a thin layer of bananas.

Step 7

Cover and freeze for 2 hours, or until frozen through.

To serve, heat an ice cream scoop in warm water, and then scoop ice cream into a bowl, or serve in a cone. Top with any remaining Biscoff Cookie crumbles for an extra delicious crunch!
