Hey mama,

My name is heather and I’m a blogger, a group exercise instructor, a wife, and a mother to 3 very busy boys.  Just like so many others, my life is busy. I understand chaos!

I’m also concerned about my family’s health. The struggle to get dinner on the table and the family together is real!

But a few years ago, my family started struggling with things like diverticulosis, high blood pressure, rosacea, GERD, and weight gain.

Our doctors were only interested in treating the symptoms of our “illnesses.”  I knew it was up to me to take a hard look at our life choices.

Up until then, I thought we were making healthy choices. We exercised…made sure to eat veggies most days…and made an effort to get an adequate amount of sleep each night.

However, we found that we needed to make bigger changes to our overall lifestyle. 

I was researching, talking to doctors, asking questions, and implementing changes and  I knew that we needed to make these changes slowly so that they would stick and become lifelong habits.

Too much change at once is just simply too overwhelming for me. And when I get overwhelmed, I retreat to what is comfortable and familiar.

We had to keep them simple.
