– whole chicken - or chicken breasts or thighs – Au Jus seasoning packet, or to taste – Ranch seasoning packet, or to taste – butter, sliced – Pepperoncini Peppers, plus about 1/3 cup of juice from jar

1. Place chicken in the crockpot.

2. Sprinkle the seasoning packets over top of the chicken.

3. Slice the butter and place all over the chicken.

4.  Add the peppers to the crockpot and pour the pepper juice (or broth) over the chicken.

5. Secure the lid on the crockpot and set heat to high for 3.5 to 4 hours, or low for 7-8 hours.

6.. Once the chicken is done cooking, insert a meat thermometer into a few thick places of the chicken to ensure the chicken has reached a temperature of 165F.
