Easy Oreo Fudge
Oreo cookie fudge is really cookies and cream perfection! Not only does it taste amazing, but it’s super easy to package up in beautiful ways to give as a gift.
If you want to give this fudge as a gift, it’s all a matter of the packaging.
With only 4 ingredients and just enough time to melt, mix and set, this recipe couldn’t be easier.
Fun Fact: White chocolate is not actually real chocolate because it doesn’t contain cocoa powder. White chocolate is made from cocoa butter, milk fats, sugar, and lecithin.
Ingredients Needed for This Oreo Fudge Recipe
Only 4 ingredients are required for this easy recipe:
- Oreo cookies – classic cookies broken into big chunks. Truly the cookie part of the cookies and cream.
- Sweetened condensed milk – provides the body for the fudge and creates that sweet, creamy texture you love about fudge.
- Marshmallow Fluff – blends with the sweetened condensed milk to make the body of the fudge.
- White chocolate or white chocolate chips – you can substitute chocolate bars but into chunks
Tips for Making Exceptional Oreo Fudge
- If looking for a good quality white chocolate morsel, I recommend Guittard vanilla chips because they melt better due to not containing waxes.
- Definitely use a pan lined with parchment paper (or a non-stick pan) when making this recipe or you will be doing a lot of scraping to remove the fudge from the pan.
- You can cut your Oreo Fudge into 16 or 32-squares depending on how big you want your pieces. For most people, 32 squares will work just fine.
- If you don’t want to pound the Oreos to crush them, you can also crush them by rolling a rolling pin over them.
- If you want to make it into various shapes and sizes other than small squares, you can use a cookie-cutter. Just remember to heat it up in hot water, then, wipe it dry with a towel before slicing the fudge. Repeat the process. This is also the technique in using the knife to cut the small squares.
Oreo Fudge FAQs
You got questions…I’ve got answers! Here are the answers to my most common questions.
Can I Microwave the White Chocolate?
Yes, you can melt the chocolate in the microwave.
To do so safely, put the chips (or melting candies) in a microwave-safe bowl along with the condensed milk and heat in 20 or 30-second intervals until melted.
Make sure to stir well in between each interval to keep the chocolate from burning.
How Long Will it Keep?
This Oreo fudge will last for:
- 7 days in an airtight container at room temperature
- 2-3 weeks when stored in the fridge
- 2 months in the freezer (thaw overnight before serving)
Recipe Variations:
- Chocolate – Really love chocolate? Use semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips instead of white chocolate chips
- Peanut butter – Use semi-sweet chocolate chips, peanut butter Oreos, add 2-3 tablespoons of peanut butter to the mixture.
- Lemon – Use lemon Oreos and add 1 tsp of lemon extract to the chocolate, marshmallow, and condensed milk mixture
- Red velvet – Use red velvet Oreos
- Mint – Use mint Oreos and stir in 1/2 teaspoon of peppermint extract to the chocolate mixture
How to Give Fudge as a Gift
It’s all about the packaging. Put the fudge in a cute box, jar, or wrap it in cellophane as an easy way but highly appreciated food gift for any occasion!

Alternative Method for Melting Chocolate:
If you need to save some time, you can microwave the chocolate chips to melt them. However, it's essential that you do it a little bit at a time as the chocolate can burn easily.
Heat the bowl for 20-30 seconds at a time and give the chocolate a stir. Repeat this process until the chocolate is just shy of being completely melted.
