Reindeer Oreo Pops
Are you looking for a quick and easy festive treat to make for your next holiday event? This Reindeer Oreo Pops recipe is super cute, comes together quickly, and is a crowd-pleasing favorite that can be individually wrapped to give as DIY gifts
I love Rudolph and always have! He’s so cute and festive, which is why I made these DIY Rudolph Wood Slice Ornaments last year. This year, I wanted to take a food spin on Rudolph, but I had some reservations…
Have you ever desired to make those drool-worthy treats you see on Pinterest but feel inadequate or too strapped on time to do it?
Yeah, me too. I just don’t have time (or the desire, if I’m honest) to spend all day creating difficult treats.
I’m a semi-instantaneous satisfaction kind of gal. 😉
But here’s the thing – I really WANT to create cute and festive treats. I just don’t want to spend all day doing it.
Well, if you’re in the same boat I am, now you can make some yourself! These adorable little reindeer oreo pops couldn’t be any easier to make, and they will be the star of the show at any holiday cookie swap or party.
Plus, they’re so charming that you can wrap them up individually with plastic bags and ribbon and give them as terrific DIY gifts (and stocking stuffers)! Double win!
You can even send Rudolph Oreo pops to school to pass out at holiday parties and give to teachers as gifts.
I love random facts…and I have one about reindeer. 😁 Reindeer are part of the deer family (otherwise called caribou in North America). While reindeer can’t fly, some DO have red noses (ha!). This phenomenon is caused by an excessive quantity of blood vessels in the nose.
Reindeer Oreo pops are a stupid simple holiday treat that is almost (but not quite!) too cute to eat. And they taste as good as they look!

How To Make Dipped Oreo Pops
The process is so simple that kids can definitely help when you make these treats.
Step 1
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper.
Step 2
Carefully cut the pretzels in half with kitchen scissors for the reindeer “ears”. You’ll most likely get one ear out of each pretzel.
Step 3
Set aside 6 of the candy melts for the reindeer “noses”. Melt the remaining chocolate candy melts according to package instructions.
Step 4
Turn your Oreo into a pop by dipping the end of a lollipop stick in the melted chocolate and inserting it into the center of an Oreo cookie. You want to push it about halfway into the Oreo.
Step 5
Dip the end of two pretzel sticks into the chocolate and insert them into the top of the Oreo cookie at a slight angle for each “antler”.
Step 6
Dip the end of each pretzel “ear” into the chocolate and insert them into the Oreo cookie on each side of the “antlers”.
Step 7
Wait a few minutes for the chocolate to set/ dry in the Oreos.
Step 8
Rewarm melted chocolate, being careful not to burn, as needed.
Step 9
Holding the Oreo pop by the lollypop stick, use a spoon to spoon melted chocolate over the face of the reindeer and then gently cover the ears in chocolate.
Allow the excess chocolate to drain off and then place the reindeer pop on the wax paper.
Step 10
Ok, it’s time to make your Oreo pops look like Rudolph! Place one of the reserved chocolate melts in the center of the Oreo for the nose.
Add a bit of melted chocolate to the “M” side of a red M&M and place it in the center of the candy melt nose. Add two candy eyes above the nose.
Step 11
Allow chocolate to dry before wrapping in treat bags or serving.
Enjoy!
Tips For Making Reindeer Oreo Pops
- I recommend using doubled stuffed Oreos because they’re thicker. The extra cream stuffing makes it easier to insert the lollipop stick into the middle.
- Use a high quality chocolate for melting – it’ll melt more smoothly and cover your Oreos better.
- Using a deep bowl or coffee mug for melting the chocolate will make fully submerging the Oreos.
- Dip each Oreo then gently scrape the bottom on the edge of the bowl so that the excess chocolate runs back into the bowl.
- After you cover the Oreos, they chocolate will set faster if you place them in the fridge for 5-10 minutes.
Chocolate-Dipped Oreo Pops Variations To Try
- Instead of making each Oreo pop the same, you could roughly break up the pretzels and make each reindeer a little different.
- Change up the eyes by using frosting instead of the candy eyes.
- Want to add a little spice? Use Red Hot candies instead of M&Ms for the noses!
- Change up the flavor by using golden double stuffed Oreos instead of traditional ones.
