- Use appropriate size scissors for the age of the child doing the cutting. Have a couple of pairs of child scissors on hand as well as larger scissors for adults to use.
- Cut out the construction pieces for the rabbit’s body first. That way you can place the strips on the construction paper exactly where you want them before gluing them down. Then repeat the same process with the ears and nose.

Bunny Paper Craft FAQs
Do I have to use googly eyes on my bunny paper craft?
Certainly not! If you don’t have them or don’t want to use them, you can draw the eyes with a colored pencil or colored marker.
What is the best type of glue to use?
My preference when working with young children is washable glue. There are many different brands of washable glue so use your preference.
Glue sticks are also a favorite of mine. Tiny hands can manage them very well.
Why should I use construction paper for this craft instead of regular colored paper?
Construction paper is a thick, colored paper typically made from wood pulp, recycled fibers, or a blend of both.
It’s known for its rougher texture and availability in a variety of vibrant colors. Because of its thickness, you will find that it is more sturdy and durable.
Cardstock is also an acceptable option but you should consider that it may be less cost effective.
