Green Scavenger Hunt – Earth Day Activity
Are you ready to get your green on? Then grab your bike and let’s go! We’ve got a scavenger hunt to do in honor of Earth Day, so let’s get to it!
You could take a walk through your house and neighborhood or drive to a local park for a nature walk. As you go, have your kiddo search inside and outside for these items:
– Ride a bike to get from A to B
– Plant a seed and watch it grow
– Use recycling bins to help the environment
– Turn off lights when you leave the room
– Pick up litter and give it a new home
– Ditch plastic and use reusable shopping bags
– Use low-energy bulbs for a brighter tomorrow
– Harness the power of the sun with solar energy
– Enjoy nature and all its beauty

This nature scavenger hunt is more than just a hunt! It’s a chance to help out, give back, and reuse!
You can extend this activity by adding to the activities listed on the page. Here are some ideas:
- Find a piece of dropped litter and put it in the trash can
- Remember to use reusable bags when shopping (say goodbye to plastic bags!)
- Unplug electronics not in use
- Get a bonus point for finding something to recycle!
- Look for something that can be composted to help new plants grow
- Give your kiddo a magnifying glass and let them examine the smaller items with a closer eye
