How To Make Candy Christmas Tree Pretzels
The process for making this Christmas trees candy recipe is super simple. The hardest part is melting the candy melts!
Step 1
Melt the dark green candy melts according to package instructions. You can either melt them over a double boiler, or in the microwave.
I prefer doing it in the microwave using a glass bowl. Be careful not to overheat, or the candy melts will become chalky and difficult to use. If this happens, try to save it by adding a small amount of coconut oil and mixing well.
Step 2
Drape a pastry bag over your hand, fill it with melted candy, and cut the tip of the bag with kitchen shears.
Step 3
Place a piece of wax paper or parchment paper over a tray or baking sheet. Place the pretzel sticks on the tray.
Drizzle the candy melts back and forth, making the melted candy wider as you go to create the shape of a Christmas tree. You’ll see the Christmas tree pretzels forming as you go – feel free to adjust the shape as needed!
Step 4
Immediately add some red and clear sugar gems and some white snowflake sprinkles.
The green candy melts will harden rather quickly, so make sure you get your decorations on before the candy hardens.
Step 5
Repeat the previous steps with the bright green candy melts for the remaining pretzel sticks.
Try different shapes and designs to make different types of tree shapes!
Step 6
Once all of your candied trees are decorated, place them in the refrigerator to set for approximately 5 minutes.
Then, after your trees are set, they’re ready to be enjoyed!
Recipe Notes
If you’re wondering how to use these candy Christmas tree pretzels, there are several different ways to share and enjoy them. Here are a few:

If you want to really change things up, use different colors of candy melts to make the trees. White would be super cute! You could also use red, yellow, pink, blue, or purple. If you choose to use some of those colors, I suggest using a variety!

How long will these candy Christmas tree pretzels stay fresh?
These can be kept in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three weeks.
I can’t find the candy gems. Can I use something else instead?
I’ll admit that I haven’t always been able to find them myself. So, when you can’t find the candy gems, you can substitute holiday jimmies. The various shaped sprinkles and colored balls can produce a similar effect.
