Christmas Countdown Calendar

Many kids love advent calendars to countdown the days during the month of December until Christmas Day, but I don’t love the extra expense of buying countdown calendars every year.

That’s why I wanted to create a free printable advent calendar that you can use at home to help your kids count down to Christmas Eve.

How To Use Your Christmas Countdown Calendar Printable

Just print it out before December 1st and display it on your wall or another prominent area of your home. 

Each evening, join the kids as they cross off (or color the image of) the day.

And if they ask (ad nauseam) how much longer until Christmas, simply send them to the printable and have them tell you how many more days!

That will save you from asking Siri over and over! Simply put the process of finding out into your kids’ hands by having them count how many more days.

Tips To Get The Most Out Of Your Free Christmas Countdown Calendar

• Color the picture (or cross off the square) for the day of the week. Then, when kids need to figure out how many days left, they can count the uncolored (or blank) squares.
• Save the file to print again next year.
• Or laminate your page and color it with dry erase markers. Then wipe it off and save it for next year.
• If you want to add a little treat, tape a festive Hershey’s Kiss for each child to the box for the day.
