Kids New Year’s Eve Charcuterie Board Ingredients

You just need a few simple ingredients to make the ultimate New Year’s Eve charcuterie board. Here’s what I used to create the perfect spread:

  • Pepperoni slices
  • Cheese – A variety of cheeses, such as medium or sharp cheddar cheese and string cheese (I like to mix hard cheese and soft cheese, when possible)
  • Yogurt-covered raisins
  • Fresh Fruit – Grapes, Bananas, and Apples
  • Crackers – cheese crackers (like Cheez-its) and pretzel thins
  • Berries – Raspberries and Strawberries
  • Sauces – BBQ sauce, frosting, peanut butter, chocolate syrup
  • Chicken nuggets (Chick-fil-a is the best, but I also use frozen (and air fried) nuggets from Costco)
  • Chocolate chip bear crackers

How To Make A Kids New Year’s Eve Charcuterie Board

The process for making a New Year’s Eve charcuterie board for kids is super simple! Here’s how:

Step 1 – Prepare The Fruit And Cheeses

We cut the cheddar into small cubes and open the string cheese. Peel and cut the bananas into 1” pieces.

Step 2 – Make Rosettes

Using a shot glass, fold slices of pepperoni over the rim and overlapping the previous slice halfway. Once you’ve added about 8-10 slices, flip it over and pull off the shot glass to expose the flower.

Step 3 – Put The Board Together

Frame the board with the cheeses and dipping sauces.

Add the fruits and the crackers.

Finally add the meats and fill any empty spaces you may have.

Look over the board and make sure nothing of the same type is touching if possible.

Serve and enjoy! Happy New Year!

NYE Charcuterie Board Variations To Try

Feel free to take this kids’ New Year’s Eve charcuterie board and make it your own by swapping out any of the ingredients and replacing them with your kids’ favorites! Here are some ideas:

Crackers – Try using Wheat Thins, Club Crackers, Ritz, covered pretzels, or any specialty crackers you prefer or have on hand.

Cookies – We used Teddy Grahams, but you could use mini cookies, leftover Christmas cookies, Oreos, or any other type of cookie!

Cheeses – My kids love cheddar and string cheese. However, gouda, Havarti, or any other cheeses would be delicious! Use your kids’ favorite cheeses for success.

Meats – We kept it simple by transforming pepperoni into rosettes. Feel free to swap out salami, deli ham or turkey, roast beef, etc.

Fruits – Our family loves fruit, so we added bright color with grapes and berries. Swap out your favorite fruits and dried fruits, and even pomegranate seeds!

Sauces – We blended some sweet and savory options. Feel free to use any sauces you love!

Garnish – top this New Year’s Eve board with fresh herbs, if you kids like them!

Make It Gluten-Free – To make your New Year’s Eve charcuterie board for kids gluten-free, simply replace all the crackers and cookies with your kids’ favorite gluten-free versions!
