Strawberry Rice Krispie Treats
Strawberry Rice Krispie Treats are a unique twist on an already classic dessert. This easy-to-make treat is the perfect way to satisfy your sweet tooth while also adding a bit of bright flavor to your dessert table.
When my kids were younger and showed interest in helping out in the kitchen, I wanted to start them off by making something that was easy and that they would love to eat.
Brussels sprouts or broccoli (although we eat them for dinner) just didn’t scream kid-friendly or fun when teaching kids to cook. 😁
So, rice krispie treats were the first thing that came to mind. What kid doesn’t love rice krispie treats, right?!
They were a hit, and the kids loved making them. So once they mastered the art of making rice krispie treats, we decided to take it a step further and give the classic recipe a new twist.
Freeze-dried strawberries were just the ticket. The kids (and adults) loved the new twist, and this recipe is still a highly requested recipe for snacks, desserts, sleepovers, and school treats!
Now, several years later, I still get that same feeling of joy when I make these Strawberry Rice Krispies Treats for myself and others or with my kids – with the added bonus of being able to add my own unique touch.

Step 5
Melt the pink candy and white melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second increments. Stir after every 30 seconds.
Step 6
Next, place 1/2 of a cup of reserved white candy melts in a piping bag. Microwave for 30 seconds, remove from microwave, mash, and flip bag over. Then place it back in the microwave for another 30 seconds.

Using a toothpick or long skewer, draw a line straight down, then straight back up continuing until the design covers the top.
Step 11
Place in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to set up. Serve and enjoy!!!
Strawberry Rice Krispie Treats Recipe Notes And Tips
- It is important NOT to use liquid oil thinner. Coconut oil or paramount crystals are the best options. Paramount crystals are chips of hydrogenated palm kernel oil combined with lecithin and citric acid to be used in chocolate work.
- If the oil you use is a liquid to begin with, it will remain in liquid form. If you use an oil that solidifies at room temperature, it will ensure that the chocolate will set up nicely.
- Melting the marshmallows on low heat will ensure that the treats will stay soft and fluffy.
- When pressing the rice krispie mixture into the baking dish, use either cooking spray or butter on your hands or a spatula. This will keep your hands or spatula from sticking to the gooey mixture.
Variations Of Strawberry Rice Krispies Treats To Try
- Use a cookie cutter to cut out fun-shaped treats such as hearts, stars, animals, or flowers. Get creative! 😁
- Try a different type of cereal, such as fruity pebbles, Chex cereal, or Cheerios, for a fun change.
- White chocolate chips, chopped nuts, crushed pretzels, mini milk chocolate chips, or M&M’s are some delicious and fun add-ins for your strawberry rice krispie treats.
