Step 1
First, pre-heat the oven to 375 degrees and prepare two mini muffin trays with non-stick spray. Set them off to the side.

Open the crescent roll package and roll it out on a clean surface. You will need to pinch together the pre-cut creases.

Now use a pizza cutter or knife to cut the dough into 24 equal squares.
Step 4
Next, place each cut square of crescent roll dough into the prepared muffin tin. Press down firmly to form a small muffin cup.
Step 5
Cut the brie cheese into 24 evenly cut pieces and place them into each dough-filled muffin tin cup.
Step 6
Place a teaspoon of cranberry sauce on the top of each piece of brie cheese.
Step 7
Bake for 10 – 12 minutes or until lightly golden brown.
Cranberry Brie Bites Recipe Notes And Tips
- When cutting the dough into equal squares, I did 6 columns on the top and 4 rows on the side.
- Canned cranberries will work great but if you have any leftover cranberry sauce or your own homemade sauce those are also great options.
- As you are preparing to cut the crescent roll squares, cut them as evenly as possible so they all fit evenly in the mini muffin pan.
- Center the crescent roll dough in the muffin tin cups so that the dough is sitting evenly on all sides of the cups.
- Keeping the cheese chilled or slightly frozen will help make slicing the cheese much easier .
- If your brie cheese has a rind, do not remove it. It is edible and leaving it on during baking will keep the cheese from spreading too much.
Variations Of Cranberry Brie Bites To Try
- Change up the types of cheese you use in your bites. Goat cheese, gorgonzola or camembert are perfect substitutes for brie.
- You can also try changing up the sweet flavor of the filling by using cherry or apricot preserves, orange marmalade, blackberry jam, pepper jelly, mango or mint chutney, or your favorite fruit compote.
- Add a savory crunch to the sweet bite by adding in crumbled bacon or toasted pecans, pistachios or hazelnuts.
- If you prefer a little bit lighter and thinner ‘crust’, substitute the crescent roll dough with phillo pastry dough!
FAQs
Can I freeze the Cranberry Brie Bites?
Yes, of course. These are very freezer-friendly. Allow the brie bites to cool completely before freezing.
Once they are cool, place them on a flat baking sheet or pan so they are not touching. Put them in the freezer until they are frozen solid, approximately 1 – 2 hours.
Then place them in an air-tight, freezer-safe container or a resealable bag for up to 3 months.
How long will the Cranberry Brie Bites keep in the refrigerator?
With the jam and brie cheese in the center, they would keep in the fridge for only about 3 – 4 days in an air-tight container.
What is the best way to re-heat the Cranberry Brie Bites?
If your brie bites are frozen, you do not have to un-thaw. Simply place on a baking sheet and place in the oven at 350 degrees for 6 – 10 minutes.
If you are reheating leftovers from the refrigerator, place them on a baking sheet and place them in a 375-degree oven for 5 – 6 minutes.
You can also use your handy dandy air-fryer to re-heat these yummy bites as well. I have not tried this with these but I would suggest a 350-degree oven for approximately 3 – 4 minutes. You may find it takes less time depending on your appliance.
What is the white outer layer on the brie cheese?
It is called the rind or another name for it would be white mold. But don’t let that bother you. 😂
It is actually edible and it is what gives the brie cheese its distinctive flavor.
