Slime is all the rage these days so our Orange Glitter Fall Slime is just the ticket for all the kiddos in your home. It is super easy and safe for even the smallest hands.
Kids love exploring things with their hands – it’s all about the sensory experience. Homemade playdough, sensory bins, puffy paint, and sidewalk chalk all fit the bill. And now we can add slime to the list.
And don’t forget about puffy slime!
I’ve heard about making slime for a while (years, probably), but I actually never made it with my kids until we were stuck at home during the pandemic. Now my kids LOVE homemade slime, so we’ve been making it more than I’d like to admit. 😂

FAQs
How do you store Fall Slime?
There are a couple ways to store your fall slime to keep it pliable and usable. Place it in a plastic storage bag and be sure to squeeze out the excess air before sealing.
Or place in an air-tight, plastic container that is just a little bit bigger than the amount of slime you are storing. This will also keep out the majority of air.
How long will this Fall Slime recipe last?
There is really no hard and fast rule on how long this fall slime will keep. I have had it last for several months before I needed to make more and that is because the plastic baggie did not get sealed correctly.
Can I store the Fall Slime in the refrigerator?
Storing the fall slime in the refrigerator can definitely extend its life. Just be sure to store it in a marked, air-tight container so that it is not mistaken for a food item.

Is there a different type of glue instead of Elmer’s Glue that I can use to make slime?
I can not really speak to that because I have never tried anything other than Elmer’s Glue. Elmer’s has an ingredient in it called PVA which is a rubbery synthetic polymer used in adhesives.
There are other glues available that contain PVA that will work for arts and crafts but I have never used any other brand.
Can I use clear Elmer’s Glue versus the white version?
You can definitely use either clear or white glue. You can experiment with the food coloring and finding which glue you prefer with the darker or lighter shades of food coloring.
