Pear Apple Streusel Muffins Recipe Notes And Tips
- Be sure to remove the muffins from the tin and let them cool on a wire rack. Otherwise, they will keep baking in the hot tin, causing them to be overbaked.
- Bring all refrigerated ingredients to room temperature (except the butter) for about 30 – 45 minutes before beginning. This will allow the ingredients to incorporate more easily and create a uniformly textured batter.
- Try not to open the oven door to check on the muffins for at least 15 – 20 minutes into the backing process. If you open it too soon, it will cause the muffins to sink and not set into a yummy, fluffy muffin.
- It is very important to thoroughly prepare all the muffin tin cups with cooking spray or butter prior to filling them with batter. This will ensure that can be easily removed from the tin without sticking or breaking.
Variations Of Pear Apple Streusel Muffins To Try
- Add a little crunch and earthiness to the pear apple muffins by adding some chopped walnuts, pecans, or almonds to the batter before baking.
- Drizzle some powdered sugar icing over the apple pear muffins just before serving. YUM YUM!
- Drop a few craisins into the batter before baking for a pop of color and a little extra sweetness. 😉
