These free printable Dr. Seuss coloring pages are a fun way to celebrate the life and birthday of one of the kids’ favorite authors (and Read Across America Day)! All you have to do is print them out and let the kids color these iconic images – they’re perfect to use at home OR school!
There are few children’s authors as beloved as Dr. Seuss (whose real name was Theodor Seuss Geisel). The work of Dr. Seuss somehow managed to strike that ideal balance between teaching morals, educating kids, and creating stories so enjoyable that kids beg to hear them day after day after day.
Not only was Dr. Seuss one of my favorite authors when I was a kid, but he was also one of my favorites to read to my own kids when they were little. Such titles as How The Grinch Stole Christmas, The Lorax, And Horton Hears A Who are still some of my favorites!
Well, Dr. Seuss’s birthday is coming up, and I want to celebrate the birthday of a man who has entertained and influenced multiple generations.
Many classrooms across the country with kids of all ages also celebrate the day by encouraging reading and having fun with crafts, recipes, and other activities!
To join in on the fun (or make it easier to plan), I have some Dr. Seuss Color By Rhyming Word sheets that you can download for free.
