Ingredients Needed To Make Bone Breadsticks
Here’s everything that you need to make these fun Halloween breadsticks!
- 1 roll of ready-to-bake pizza crust
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1⁄2 tsp garlic powder
- 1⁄2 tsp Italian seasoning
How To Make Bone-Shaped Breadsticks
The process for making these breadsticks is super easy. The “hardest” part is tying the knots at each end. 😉
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
Step 2
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 3
Unroll the dough and cut into 8 equal sections.
Step 4
Take one piece of dough, and wrap the end over, then through, forming a knot. Repeat with the other end, and repeat this step for all of the breadsticks.
Step 5
Place breadsticks a couple of inches apart on the baking sheet, and bake for 8 minutes.
Step 6
Melt the butter, then add the garlic and Italian seasoning. Stir well.
Step 7
Remove breadsticks from the oven, and brush with butter mixture.
Step 8
Return to oven and bake for an additional 2-5 minutes, until they are golden.

Recipe Tips and Tricks
If you make your own homemade pizza dough, you can totally use that to make these breadsticks. However, the premade can versions at Whole Foods or your grocery store of choice works great too!
I love serving these Halloween bone breadsticks with marinara sauce as the “blood”. However, if you want to offer other options, you could serve them with cheese sauce, alfredo sauce, or even ranch.
Variation Idea: Cheesy Halloween Bone Breadsticks! Sprinkle parmesan cheese or shredded cheese on your breadsticks before baking them.
