This appetizer is inspired by the ever-popular crab cheese rangoons. Once you start, you won’t be able to stop popping them into your mouth.

In my pre-kid days, my coworkers and I would regularly pick up lunch from our favorite Chinese restaurant.

There were many things we loved there including the Orange Chicken, but we all agreed that the crab cheese rangoons were unbeatable.

As it turns out – pretty amazing!

The crispy wonton chips provide a delightful crunch along with the decadent cream cheese and succulent crab meat mixture.

And this recipe makes the ULTIMATE appetizer!

FAQs

Can I make these Crab Rangoon Nachos ahead of time?

Yes, they can depending on your preferences. The wonton chips can be made up to 3 – 5 days ahead of time and kept in an air-tight container or storage bag. I prefer making my chips just before serving because I like serving them warm.

The crab sauce can also be made 3 – 5 days in advance as well and stored in an air-tight container in the refrigerator.

What is the best way to store any leftovers?

I would recommend storing each of the nacho components separately versus already assembled. This helps the wonton chips stay crispy. You can store your garnishes separately as well until ready to use.

How long will my leftovers keep in the refrigerator?

Any assembled nacho leftovers can be kept in a airtight container for up to 1 – 2 days.

Can I freeze these Crab Rangoon Nachos?

This is not a dish I would recommend trying to freeze – it just won’t be as good once you thaw it out.

Should Crab Rangoon Nachos be served hot or cold?

BOTH! The beauty of this easy recipe is that they are equally delicious hot or cold!
