- Tissue Paper – yellow and orange, but you could definitely use any colors of tissue paper you desire.
- Tape/Contact Paper – contact paper is convenient and easy to use, especially when crafting with younger children
- Scissors – If you are crafting with young children, you might want to cut out the pieces yourself if crafting with toddlers or let preschoolers use safety scissors.
- Construction Paper – or cardstock, yellow for the outline of the sun to simulate the color of the sun, but you can choose any color you prefer

How to Make A Sun Suncatcher Craft
- Template – Download and print the sun template and carefully cut it out.
- Cut out the template – Put the sun template on top of a piece of black construction paper or cardstock, then trace the inside and outside of the outline. Use scissors to cut out the traced sun.
- Cut tissue paper squares – Cut tissue paper squares about 1 inch in size from the multi-colored tissue paper.
- Attach the template and add tissue paper – Place the sun template onto the contact paper. Next, place the tissue paper squares on the contact paper until the open spaces of the center of the sun are covered with tissue paper.
- Cut excess contact paper – Cut the contact paper from around the edges of the sun.
