After the holidays, one of the things I reliably do is clean up my diet. After indulging in sweets and heavy foods for the better part of two months, I always feel the need to lighten things up and get back to basics.

I typically start with meals because, as the family cook, that’s what I have the most control over.

But as my kids have gotten older, I’ve realized that the snacks they eat play a bigger and bigger part of their daily calories.

So I’ve cleaned up some of the snack options in the house, but I also decided to come up with a list of options to avoid that inevitable complaint of “there’s nothing to eat in the house.”

With this list of healthy snacks for the whole family, there’s no excuse!
